MayD has released the official video of his new song entitled ‘Ur Eyes’, which features Davido. The music video was directed by Callback Dream Production.
MayD was formally signed under Jude Okoye’s Northside Music Inc. until he parted with the label.
He later went to establish his own label called ‘Confam Entertainment’. He has released hit singles like ‘Ile Ijo’, 'So Many Tinz' and few other hit songs.
It’s a whole new J-Hud. The singer/actress shows off a sexy new image to go along with her sexy new sound in the pages of V Magazine‘s Music Issue. The Oscar and Grammy winner rocks a BLK DNM leather jacket, suspenders, and wet hair in the edgy Terry Richardson shoot, styled by Mel Ottenberg.
In the magazine, the 32-year-old singer talks about her upcoming ’70s-inspired album, which features production from Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, and Babyface.
Tracks include the super-soul jam “It’s Your World” featuring R. Kelly and the empowerment anthem “Whatever Makes You Happy” with lyrics such as, “We don’t give a shit / We don’t EVEN give a shit.”
“Earlier in my career I was just a soloist singing other people’s songs,” said Hudson. “Now I really want to be an artist. I want to lift the people up, have fun, create a moment. I have my own visions that I want to bring to life. People think I sit in church all day or stay at home and stare at my Oscar. It’s like I’m a nun or the president or something. I realized that people don’t really know who I am. It just feels like it’s time to take the training wheels off, you know? Let them see me.”
Pharrell certainly has a lot of reasons to be happy, but the artist/producer can now be ecstatic that his Oscar-nominated single “Happy” has finally reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart!
Rising 2-1, the song unseats Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” featuring Juicy J, which reigned the past four weeks, and becomes Pharrell’s first solo No. 1 hit, according to Billboard. He topped the charts previously as a featured artist with Snoop Dogg on “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” with Ludacris on “Money Maker,” and of course the song of last summer, “Blurred Lines” with Robin Thicke and T.I.
“Happy” concurrently spends a third week at No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Pharrell will perform the Despicable Me 2 cut at the Academy Awards on Sunday, and release his second solo album G I R L on March 3.
In additional chart news, John Legend has earned his first Hot 100 top 10 with “All of Me.”
Big congrats to both gentlemen!
