Venus and Serena Williams have been announced as facilitators for this year’s ‘Breaking The Mould’ campaign.
The superstar tennis sister will be in
the country between Tuesday October 30 to Friday, November 2, 2012
during which they will be involved in talk sessions to motivate and
inspire women. The pair will wrap up their visit with an exhibition
match against each other.
It will be the first time they’re
playing in Africa and this is their first visit to any West African
country. It is expected that they will head to South Africa from here.
Serena, 31, has twice being named world
number 1 female tennis player and is the only woman to have won over $40
million in prize, Venus, on the other hand has also been named world’s
number one player and her success and grand slams have earned her a 12th
position on the all time list.
The sisters also have combined for 13 Grand Slam doubles titles and won Olympic gold in the doubles in 2000, 2008 and 2012.
