KOFFI OLOMIDE APPEARS IN COURT FOR ASSAULT

Congolese superstar Koffi Olomide has been slapped with a three-month suspended prison sentence for assaulting his producer. The 'Loi' star who already denied charges this year for raping three of his dancers, was arrested on Wednesday after a brawl at a hotel in Kinshasa, capital of DRC.

The fracas with Diego Lubaki, his producer was over a debt of £2,345.

After the court hearing, one of the producer's lawyers was quoted by the AFP news agency as saying

The court convicted Olomide of assault and battery but acquitted him of malicious destruction to property, after the hotel room door was damaged in the fight.

Never come between a man and his money. It always turns nasty. Hope they can sort this out and go back to making good music.
